Hello everyone!
Welcome to my new blog intended to let you know how we are progressing with the construction and opening of Sound Harley-Davidson, the first new Harley dealer to open in Puget Sound in the last 20 years!
The process of opening a new dealership is not for the weak of heart. Harley-Davidson dealerships are major operations and as a result it will have taken about 2 years from the time we were awarded the dealership by Harley to opening. This seems to be about average although I have heard stories of dealerships taking 3 and even 4 years to get off the ground primarily due to the process of securing land, getting a new buidling designed and securing the necessary building permits with the city/county/state. The City of Marysville has been great and they have expedited our reviews and approvals and construction has started and is moving along quickly.
We will use this blog to keep you updated on our progress and let you know more about the dealership over the next few months. Harley won't let us turn our web site on until about 2 months before opening so in the mean time we will use this blog and I will let you know when the official site comes on line.
